Save the Plants!

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

I've learned over time that succulents don't do so well in colder weather, and even if Hawaiʻi never really gets that cold, don't chance it. Bring the babies in! Keep them indoors, but make sure they still get a good amount of light and air flow.

But as for those 2 Snake Plants in the back (the tall, sword like plants), they can survive almost anywhere and in any type of weather. We've had lots of them surrounding our house for years and they've survived all the harsh sun and heavy rains. These 2 are my baby Snake Plants so I put them here where I can keep a close eye on them :)

It's been raining off and on for over a month now (that's Hawaiʻi's "Fall" weather for ya!) and I usually bring them in the garage when that happens. But I figured these little guys could use some fresh air today. I think they look pretty happy, although this little one right here started growing in a weird direction -__- Looks like some propagation will be in the works soon!
