December Blooms
Thursday, December 04, 2014Last year, I don't remember it being that cold here in Hawaiʻi. And I think these plants agreed because they didn't turn fully red. The previous year, I remember it being really chilly and that's when they ALL turned red. I should Google it but, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that the temperature has a lot to do with their color changes. I mean, that has to be the reason because throughout Spring and Summer, they stay completely dark green.
This year is definitely a cold one for the islands. I'm someone who needs to have my fan on even if it's cold (mainly for the background noise). But if I HAVE to turn it off, well...that means it's definitely cold (for Hawaiʻi standards anyways). With that said, I'm hoping our Poinsettias all turn red this year :) Stay tuned!
